2011 Styles for Women s Watches

There have been many styles of timepieces throughout the years. The variations in design have been largely due to advancements in technology. At the beginning of the watchmaking era, wrist worn pieces were rather large and could be quite cumbersome, but as we began to be able to create movements that were smaller and more compact...womens watches took on a whole new look and feel.

Women's timepieces were made in small, delicate ways for many years, but in 2010 the rebirth of the large dial timepiece came about. Both women and men became intrigued by the super-sized dials and bold looks of these collections. That trend will still be quite hot in 2011. Given the fact that more and more top manufacturers are designing their own versions of these over sized watches and offering more choices in type and color...the trend setting big dial timepiece will still be seen everywhere.

The fact is that women are drawn to stand out style, whether if comes in the form of a super large dial or a fantastic color. Other trends that will carry over are colorful collections. Many women are stepping away from traditional wristwatch looks and moving toward more fun and festive timepieces. These creations are dressier and more appropriate in the office, than earlier models. 2010 was a great stylish year in women's watches and I feel that many of the most popular looks will continue to be seen in 2011
